Aruna Seth - Kate Middleton's wedding shoes?
Tuesday 23 November 2010
With Prince William and Kate Middleton announcing the date of their wedding (29 April to be exact) there’s only a few things left to speculate on. Who will be Wills’ best man? Who will create the dress? Who will design Kate’s shoes?
In true Cinderella fashion, bookmakers have already run odds on which shoe designer the Royal bride will choose for the big day. While Gina leads on 3/1, Aruna Seth and Jimmy Choo are both 4/1 - followed closely by Christian Louboutin (5/1) and Rupert Sanderson (6/1).
We at Closer have our eye on Aruna Seth. Handmade in Northern Italy, these shoes must be designed for future royalty - they are Swarovski encrusted with the finest quality materials and are a firm favourite among the A-List.
Aruna Seth designs for bridal and high class occasions and promises to offer “the most desirable shoes for girls who truly wish to spoil themselves”. Her trademark butterfly design is a must see; the heels come in arrange of colours and have a elaborate butterfly pattern which covers the front of the shoe in crystals.
Ballerinas start at £350, while the most desired heels can go up to £725. A special pair – aptly named Cinderella shoes - cost £2,500. But they are covered in 3,000 Swarovski crystals each…
As if we didn’t already want a pair, Hollywood A-Listers have been raving about Aruna. Katherine Jenkins, Pixie Lott and Amanda Holden have been spotted sporting the brand, while Goldie Hawn wore the Cinderella shoes to the New York Premiere of Nine.
The actress admitted: "The minute I put them on I did not want to take them off. They were so comfortable... and for evening shoes that's saying a lot."
Paris Hilton requested twenty-four pairs of the brand (only an heiress eh?).
She said: "I Love Aruna Seth shoes, they are made for a princess. If Cinderella was here today she would definitely be in a pair of these shoes.”
Made for a Princess? Go on, Kate – treat yourself.
